Delta Force Polaris Patrol guide: how to play as Desmoulins and get the rewards

By Zibno ·

How Polaris Patrol works in Delta Force: unlocking Desmoulins at Operations level 33, Work Badges, Adjutant roles, the maps, Performance Points and every reward, plus the October balance changes.

Delta Force

Polaris Patrol is a limited-time Operations mode in Delta Force that flips the usual roles: instead of fighting the boss, your squad can be the boss. One player becomes Security Director Anais Desmoulins and the others join as her Adjutants. It runs from 16 October 2026 to 27 January 2027 (until 10:00 UTC+8 on the last day). Here is how it works and how to get the most out of it.

The roles

Security Director Desmoulins
The squad leader and the star of the mode. She has her own tools: a Neural-Controlled Vehicle, a Threat Imaging System and a Seeker Bomb Vehicle. Her Weakness Analysis makes targets repair armour and use medical items more slowly.
Adjutants
Two support roles, the Heavy Guard (Athos Leal) and the Comms Guard (Aramis Orgueil). Both are unlocked by default, but an Adjutant can only join if the squad has a Desmoulins.

Haavk units on the map stay neutral towards Squad Desmoulins, except Hudson units. Other players (G.T.I. operators) can still hunt you, and they earn Performance Points for taking Desmoulins down.

How to unlock Desmoulins

  1. Reach Operations level 33. That unlocks the Desmoulins File.
  2. Complete the Desmoulins File. You pick three of its five branches.
  3. Every time you enter as Desmoulins, you spend one Security Director's Work Badge. A badge costs 250,000 Tekniq Alloys.

Tip You can hold up to 8 Work Badges. You start with 4 available, and one more comes back every 21 hours. If you play once a day, you will never run out, so there is no need to stockpile.

Maps and difficulty

  • Space City, Normal
  • AZ3, Normal
  • Space City, Hard

In Space City, Desmoulins gets her own exclusive extraction point and an executive elevator, which makes Space City the easier map to extract from as the Director.

Performance Points and rewards

Your result in each operation earns Performance Points. As your Performance Rank goes up, you unlock rewards:

  • Desmoulins Reward Crates, which can contain red-quality collectibles such as the Petite Madame or Requin model.
  • The M700 sniper rifle appearance "Serenity".
  • The HVK Whirlwind Enhanced Gas Block for the M700, which you can craft from the Hunter stage, up to 10 per week.
  • Desmoulins cosmetics: an avatar, a spray, a calling card and a gesture.

There is also the Polaris Challenge, with Director's To-Do and Adjutant's To-Do missions. Finish all of them for a Medal of Honor. Challenges also give operator voice lines and Custom Gear Tickets.

Playing against a Desmoulins squad pays too: if you take down a player-controlled Desmoulins, you can search the Desmoulins Mezzanine for collectibles.

Tips

  • Play as a full squad. Adjutants cannot queue without a Director, so organise with friends first.
  • Use Weakness Analysis before a fight, not during it. Slower armour repair and healing on the enemy is what wins the trade.
  • Start on Normal until your squad knows the Director's tools. Every Director run costs a Work Badge, win or lose.
  • Remember the weapon changes below. The M700 is weaker since the October 15 update, so do not build your whole run around it.

October balance changes that affect this mode

M700 sniper rifle
Semi-auto damage down from 100 to 77, abdomen multiplier down to 0.9x. Auto headshot multiplier down from 2.5x to 2.2x.
Desert Eagle
Chest multiplier up from 1x to 1.375x, and muzzle velocity up from 340 to 450 m/s.
.357 Revolver
No damage falloff at any range, and projectile velocity up from 340 to 650 m/s.
Thompson SMG
Less damage at range, and a lower headshot multiplier with the Advanced Frame System (1.9x to 1.6x).
FD-12 shotgun
Slightly less damage per pellet in both modes.
Rifle prices
K437 up to 3000, MDR up to 2700, AS Val down to 2500.
Stinger
Less healing: the Hive-Tech Pistol self-heal drops from 3 to 2 HP per second but lasts longer, and taking damage now removes the healing buff.
Shepherd
Sonic Trap does 20 damage instead of 25, costs 300 instead of 250, and has a temporarily smaller hitbox.
