The short answer: no. As of late October 2026, Valorant Mobile is still only officially available in China. Riot Games and Tencent have not announced a global release date, a global beta or worldwide pre-registration. Lots of websites post "release dates" anyway, so this page sticks to what has actually been reported, and says clearly where something is only a rumour.
Where things stand right now
- Out in China since 19 August 2025, on iPhone and Android, developed together with Tencent's Lightspeed Studios.
- No release date for Europe, North America, Asia outside China or anywhere else.
- No official global beta, closed test or pre-registration outside China.
- The game keeps getting big updates in China, with new agents and maps added through 2026.
Tip If a site or a seller says you can pre-register globally or buy an "early global APK", it is not official. Valorant Mobile has said that people who use leaked APKs or game packages will not be able to play.

Why fans expected news at Gamescom
Two things lined up. The English logo appeared in July, and Tencent then said its Gamescom exhibition would include "global debuts". Several outlets read that as a likely global launch announcement. Others warned at the time that "global debuts" could simply mean artwork shown in Europe for the first time, and that is what it turned out to be. The game was shown, but no release window was announced.
Why it is taking so long
Riot has not explained the delay in detail, so anything here is reasoning, not a quote. The China version runs on Tencent's accounts (QQ and WeChat), payment systems and servers, and a global version needs all of that rebuilt for other regions, plus its own anti-cheat, ranked system and esports plans. Riot has also been careful not to split players between the PC game and a mobile game that plays differently. According to recent reports, Riot describes the global version as being in active development. That is good news, but it is not a date.
How to play Valorant Mobile today
Right now the only official way is the Chinese version. You need a QQ or WeChat account, and from outside China you usually need a booster or VPN to reach the Chinese servers. I go through it step by step in how to pre-register and download the China version.
Once you are in, the menus are in Chinese. These help:
- The lobby and settings in English: where everything is, including the hidden settings button.
- Basic settings explained: walk modes, smart fire, map and comms.

Will my phone run it?
These are the requirements Tencent published for the China version, as reported by gaming sites. A global version could change them.
- Android
- Minimum Android 5 with 3 GB RAM. Recommended Android 9 with 6 GB RAM. For the smoothest "esports" level, Android 11 with 8 GB RAM.
- iPhone
- Minimum iOS 12 with an A9 chip (iPhone 6s). Recommended an A12 chip (iPhone XS or newer). For the top level, iOS 15 with an A15 chip.
- Storage
- The game is several GB with updates. Keep at least 8 GB free on Android and 10 GB on iPhone.
What to watch for next
- An announcement on Riot's official Valorant channels. That is the only source that counts.
- A regional beta or technical test outside China. Riot usually tests in a few regions before a full launch.
- Pre-registration opening on Google Play or the App Store outside China.
- Big Valorant esports events, which Riot often uses for announcements.
